Socializing with friends, networking with people, a blind-date, or meeting with the boss, Alfredo’s new cafe at Malad offers you all the reasons for dropping in. Alfredo’s synonyms with happiness and is becoming one the most visited spot amongst youngsters and families. Let’s take a sneak-peek of the cafe.
Being located right opposite to Movietime cinema, Alfredo’s can be tracked even without GPS. The brand logo manifests a certain self-indulgence charm and welcomes everyone who is in search of good food with a good mood. To cope up with the crunched space in Mumbai. Alfredo’s looks palatial and grand with interactive seating arrangements, shiny wooden furniture, velvet sofas, and beautiful paintings on the walls. Every corner of the café has a story; either you share yours, or listen to theirs. The cafe splits into three sections – lounge for intimate conversations or to focus on your work, mezzanine space for casual talks with friends, and alfresco seating for a hush-hush coffee meet. There are special provisions for community tables for large groups & families.
Chef Jasjit has curated the menu with Italian cuisines and a pinch of Indian flavors in all. One will be spoiled for choice while deciding what to eat. Soup is the ideal way to start. We tried tangy Minestrone (also called big soup) with a lot of veggies. Another soup to try is creamy Corn Chowder Chicken Soup with crispy chicken, green onions & jalapenos.
There is healthy and delicious Fatoush Salad with fresh pesto dressing, and Barley Salad with rosemary mustard dressing, crispy chickpeas, and pumpkin seeds.
In small plates, I loved the Mexi Tacos, amazingly filled with veggies, and cream inside of a wheat tortilla. I did try the Rustic Pan Seared Chicken but found some taste missing. In large plates, there is Lamb Shepherd’s Pie, meaty, savory & classic comfort food.
You can never skip pizzas. There is California Pizza 8” with tomato sauce, oregano. Basil, salt & other spices. Other than that, there is Brown Butter Fettuccine roasted butternut, and nutty brown butter.
Last but not least. Noir has partnered with Alfredo’s for all their desserts requirements. A brainchild of Chef Manish Khanna who brings to you scrumptious desserts never eaten before. They take care of all your coffees, shakes, pastries, and your sweet tooth.
I had a great Sunday worth cherishing at Alfredo’s. The impeccable staff ensured we had a great time, and we had a ball time. To sum it all, if you seek solace in food, you’re all set but never miss exercise.
